The idea for Finish it was born while preparing for the YKI (Finnish National Proficiency test). Our founders realized that even though many resources exist, there was a lack of structured, high-quality material—and more importantly, not enough practical speaking tools to build real confidence.
The founders of Ulusoy Apps are Turkish-born professionals living in Finland—one a Senior Software Engineer, the other a UX/UI designer. Coming from different backgrounds, they shared the same struggle: traditional language apps help you memorize vocabulary, but they don’t prepare you for real conversations in workplaces, bureaucratic situations, or daily life.
By leveraging Generative AI, we are building a language learning platform that generates contextual exercises and personalized learning content tailored to each learner’s level. What started as an app for Finnish now teaches German too. Finish it is designed to help immigrants, students, and professionals practice real-life communication in Finnish or German, and to prepare for the Finnish YKI exam with confidence.
